Look for a model number on a metal plate inside your firebox opening. Then measure the length and width of your firebox opening.
Should Heatilator fireplace doors be opened or closed while the fire is burning?
Heatilator bi-fold glass doors should stay open when there’s a fire burning. A Heatilator zero clearance firebox with closed doors could reach a temperature approaching 10,000 degrees and fires can eventually start at temps as low as 200 degrees and cause closed doors shatter. Tempered glass is not meant to withstand temperatures that high.
Do Heatilator fireplace doors come with screens?
Yes, Heatilator fireplace doors come with screens. These screens can be either replacement mesh curtains that attach to a rod in your firebox or actual mesh doors that attach to the fireplace door frame and open like cabinet doors.
