Will Replacement Glass Fit My Fireplace?
Because we offer such low prices on replacement glass for fireplace doors, we get a lot of questions about replacement glass. Replacement glass is a great, economical option for your fireplace doors, but only if you have the appropriate doors that will accommodate the replacement glass. Use this guide below to see if replacement glass is a viable option for your fireplace doors.
Look for a Manufacturer Tag

|
|
Notice the Manufacturer Tag – sometimes this is on the
inside of your fireplace – on the side or in the back even –
this will show you the model # of the fireplace.
We have a list of model numbers that will work with replacement glass.
|
Examine the Bottom

|
|
This is the bottom of the fireplace – the raised metal piece
is to hold back the curtain – it is not a track. The hole at the
back at corner edge is the hole to put your doors in.
|
Is there a Hole in the Bottom?

|
|
Here is a close up of the hole – the bottom pin on your
replacement glass will go in this hole.
|
Examine the Top Track

|
|
Here is the top track. You can see it has a channel for the top
pin of your door to slide in.
Your fireplace must have this
track and the metal bracket you see with the hole in it.
This
is where the top pin of the fireplace door will go.
You must
have both parts: the track and the bracket.
Many times someone (previous owner or the builder) will
have taken out the track. So it is very important for you to
double check on the track and the bracket before you order
replacement glass for your door.
IF YOU DO NOT SEE A TRACK and BRACKET – Do
Not Worry. We can get you a great door with a track and
frame (lifetime warranty) for just a little bit more than the
replacement glass.
