I couldn't wait to share these photos with you! I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about this project. I am not known to be artistic, and my husband is not wild about changes. But, as you can see from the before photo, the previous owner had painted the bricks green and apricot, so what did I have to lose? I ordered the Twilight Taupe kit and received it in about a week. (By the way, Wendy, the UPS man didn't have a bit of trouble finding me in this small town.) I allowed two days in my schedule to do this so I wouldn't have to rush. I applied the base the first day, then allowed it to dry overnight. I was beginning to think it may take longer than I had allowed, as the base coat did take awhile to apply on this 15 foot long fireplace. But the next day, the rest of the layers went so fast! I kept reminding myself that no matter what it looked like, it would be better than when I started. I even started having fun after I had a few layers under my belt. And look how pretty it turned out! I still can't believe I did it! Even my husband said that it was beautiful. Your Brick Anew kit was just exactly what I had hoped for. And I didn't have to hire help. Thank you so much.
