"WOW.............My wife and I were searching the internet on ways to "improve" the looks of an old fireplace. Our fireplace was built in the mid-70's. We were very skeptical about applying paint or anything else that would be such a drastic change; however, your website had a fireplace that looked exactly like ours and we could not believe the difference. "WOW! That's the response from everyone who has seen the dramatic results from my recent fireplace update using your product in "Twilight Taupe." Our 1984-ish house is on the market, and I knew the fireplace both dated the home as well as contributed to a dark and dreary atmosphere. I'd thought of painting it for several years, but have seen some really tacky painted brick and was hesitant to commit. I'd been considering using your product for quite some time, and finally spent some time looking at all of the satisfied customer comments and their before and after photos. The process was easy but as you can see from the size, it took a couple of days not "pushing it". The results are magnificent. I am taking the time to send these photos because I was very nervous and sceptical about this product. It is difficult to tell in the before picture the effect the paint had on the brick. "I hope you are the one that we are supposed to send the pictures of before and after to!! If not, could you please forward because I want everyone concerned to see my new fireplace!! I have hated it since I moved into my house (a year &1/2 ago). I had a thing called Ice on Fire put in it----instead of fire logs it is colored glass that is covering a gas horseshoe. When it burns it is much more efficient because the glass disperses the heat and holds it better. But as you see, with the black firebox, it had no aesthetic value, because you could not see the rocks. Plus with the dark brick....well it just looked like a cave. "Do you get tired of fan mail? My fireplace with its dark brick and mortar completely dominated my small, windowless den. I used the Twilight Taupe kit. The base coat took awhile to apply since my mortar is recessed. My brick is rough and I'm glad I didn't waste time trying to cover every speck with the base coat. I used the optional clear coat and would highly recommend it to protect and enhance your "new" fireplace. I have a navy leather sofa and chair and wanted my den color scheme to be navy, cream, and dark tan. The old red-orange brick just "fought" my decorating efforts. Now the den seems larger, lighter, and the fireplace that used to SCREAM, now harmonizes. The final result is amazing! Why didn't I do this years ago? Just an fyi for you, the paint tray sent was broken in 2 different places with one crack being in the paint reservoir, I taped it and made do. Also, the chip brushes sent shed more bristles than is worth the time to use. I ended up using one of my own brushes after only about 5 minutes. Spent more time picking out stray bristles than painting. Other than that this was way easier and quicker than I had thought it would be. Long wait for it to arrive (11 days) but worth the wait for the outcome."

I was researching fireplace inserts and some of the pricing was outrageous. I came across BrickANew add and sent my questions in. I am an interior designer, while updating a clients home, we removed custom fireplace doors that were very ornate and outdated. I reached out to the same local vendor to get new doors that were more modern and streamlined. We were quoted $2700 for new glass fireplace doors!!!!!!!! I was not willing to pay this price point. Wow, what a transformation! I was a little hesitant and worried, (specifically after the base coat and the first color) but after 10-11 hours of painting, I'm in love! I've been debating buying this kit for about a year and so glad I finally did it. The paint covers well and buying the kit takes all the guesswork out of trying to find the right colors yourself. The room looks so much brighter and cleaner. If you are on the fence, this is a great kit and is so much less expensive than resurfacing the brick. I wanted to note that it did turn out lighter than I was originally expecting, but the tones match the living room perfectly!

Purchased the Twilight taupe kit on sale to rejuvenate an old dated brick fire back for my soon to be installed wood stove. Just WOW!!! This product is self contained and complete and so easy to use. I was able to achieve the exact results I was hoping for and it was a breeze. The customer service was second to none as well. The only thing I would change is maybe a thorough instructional video to accompany this fantastic system. I only wish they sold other products so I could do more business with them. Old fashioned service and quality at an incredible price. The photos don’t do it justice. Looks like natural brick.

I was so anxious about painting my fireplace brick -- I didn't want it look like I just slapped some paint on the old brick; I wanted the look of brick, just updated. I received my order and watched the instructional video a couple times. My biggest worry was that I am not an artist by any means and I didn't know if I would be able to get the same result as the video. Truly, I am so amazed with the simplicity of the process and the final results! The base color and the paired undertone paints were perfect together, and the kit comes with everything you need. I am a big fan and would definitely recommend this kit.

We measured and submitted our order for fireplace doors. We had to send them back to exchange them and the process was easy. My husband talked to Paul and he was very nice and we recieved our new doors within the next 2 weeks. Paul called to make sure we got them and they fit. If i could give this company a 10 star review, I would. I highly recommend this company and the customer service is fantastic! Paul went out of his way to help us and you don't get that kind of customer service these days. The fireplace doors are look really great!

We recently updated our existing fireplace and purchased the EZ Door for Heatilator Fireplaces along with a separate mesh screen. Based on the interactions for this order, I highly recommend Brick-Anew! Some details: before ordering we watched their videos which were very helpful, although we didn’t have much luck reaching them via their general phone number their response via email was top-notch, the products we received are of high quality and were fairly easy to install. We would definitely use them again!

We like the doors but they aren’t what we ordered. We ordered the cabinet doors and got bi-fold doors (which we like just fine), we ordered the traditional handles and got modern ones (which are also ok), and we were told there would be a mesh screen, which did not come with the doors. Otherwise we like the doors, even though they took about four months to get them.

This is an awesome product. However, be prepared for several coats of the product. It’s as thin as water. I have red brick and it’s soaked up the first coat instantly. After the first two coats, the red brick still had a purple sheen. It took two additional coats (a total of 4 coats) to achieve a perfect flat black. Still, The end result is absolutely awesome.

The EZ Door arrived quickly. It was well packed in its carton, using sustainable packing materials. It was obviously made for my 20 year old Martin fireplace--it just slipped in; I marked the holes with a white marker; drilled them as recommended, and put in the screws. It looks like a new fireplace now.

We bought our home a year ago and someone had painted the brick all white and it was full of soot. After much deliberation and reading reviews I decided to give brick a new a try. I am not disappointed at all. I still have to add the matte finish but the difference is unbelievable. We are so happy

I could not be more thrilled with these doors. Our manufacturer went out of busi ess and we couldn't get a fix to enclose our fireplace. These doors were as easy to install as the website says, and our fireplace is like a 8 rather than a 2. Super happy I received this help from BrickAnew!

I am very happy with this product. It does have a very strong smell, so ventilation when painting is a must. The inside of our gas fireplace was a dull off white color, which made the overall look unattractive. After painting the interior, our fireplace looks so much more sophisticated!

I am not a DIY person AT ALL, but this product was all it promised to be. Don’t be afraid of the base coat color, as it only shows through as the grout color once the project is completed. My fireplace does not look painted. Everyone commented that it looks like natural brick.

I loved the kit. I was skeptical at first, but the finished project was amazing! I watched the video several times because the sound was poor and difficult to understand in places. It would be helpful to redo the video and include closed captioning for the hard of hearing.

I have red brick, it took 3 coats to fully cover the red color. You might inform buyer that it’s very thin (watery) and the brick will soak up the first coat. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the end result.

Our fireplace brick was sooty and paint splattered. We painted it with Brick-Anew and topped it with two coats of the Matte Glaze. It turned out beautiful! I could not be happier with this product.

The item came very quick and was extremely easy to install. Haven't had a fire with the new doors yet but I will be having one tomorrow and will update once I do. The new doors and frame look great.
