Before: After:

Hi Wendy,

I just wanted to let you know that the Brick Anew kit arrived last Friday and I promptly started to apply it that evening.   The base coat was definitely the most time consuming.  I had guesstimated 2-3 hours to paint the fireplace and it took me closer to 5.5-6 hours!  I think the reason is that you have to jam the paint onto the bricks and mortar since it is so rough and porous.  The other 4 coats I did during some spare time I had on Sunday (not much ... like 3 hours).  On Monday I did a final tweak to correct some "blobs" of the first color that were looking like baseball hits to me.  This morning I applied the clear coat.

I have to tell you that I just LOVE the final look.  It's exactly what I was hoping for and looking back, it wasn't all that difficult.  I do not consider myself much of a do-it-yourselfer, so I am proud as a peacock over the way this turned out.

I'll send you some before and after pics once I take the AFTER shots.   I'll send them digitally.

Thank you for creating this kit.
