We see a lot of stores that seem to complicate the process of buying a fireplace glass door. At Brick-Anew ordering fireplace doors is an easy as 1 - 2 - 3.
Step One - Zero Clearance or Masonry?
Determine whether you have a zero clearance fireplace or a masonry fireplace. Look at the pictures below to help determine what you have. If you have a masonry fireplace go here. If you have a Zero Clearance go to step two! If you still aren't sure - please call us at 800.897.7175
Step Two - Manufacturer and Model Number
Find out the manufacturer and model number of your fireplace. Sometimes there's a metal plate in the upper corner of the firebox opening with the model number engraved on it. If you have access to any paperwork that came with your fireplace, the model number should be listed there. If you can't find a model #, no worries. Just measure the firebox opening height and width. The width of your firebox can be determined by measuring horizontally across the front of the firebox opening. The height is the vertical measurement of the opening. These measurements are taken in front of the mesh curtain if you have one. Look at the picture above to see a good example of how to measure a fireplace. Keep in mind that any frame or track from previous doors must be removed before the new doors can be installed, so take this into consideration when you are measuring. Step Three - We Double Check the Measurements
After you place your fireplace door order, we'll let you know the overall size of the frame/door unit you'll get so you can double check your measurements.
