Why is a proper fit is so
important?
Fit
is important for factory fireplaces. Let me say that again - Fit is
VERY important. Proper fit assures proper ventilation. Your fireplace
is a potential fire hazard. I was blown away when a UL technician told
me that fires can start at 300 degrees and a typical zero clearance
fireplace burning real wood can reach temperatures approaching 1300
degrees. We double and triple check to make sure you have the correct
doors for your fireplace, so that it is properly ventilated.
Do I need a frame or can I
get replacement glass doors?
Frames
are required for about 90% of all door orders because most fireplaces
do not have the correct tracks, pins, or hardware needed for
replacement glass. A frame does not add that much cost to the door and
can be a wonderful accent/finishing touch to your fireplace. We offer
frames in 22 different finishes and colors so it is easy to match your
decor.
What are the differences
between frames?
Frames
range from simple anodized aluminum to welded steel frames - most
people with an prefab fireplace choose a black frame due to
the black metal used to make the firebox. Frame widths refer to the
outer portion of the fireplace doors - imagine a picture frame.
What if I incorrectly
measure or don't like my doors?
Fireplace
doors are made based upon dimensions provided by the customer. We will
make every effort to assist our customers in determining the correct
size door for your fireplace. Any door manufactured with a defect will
be authorized for return.
